David M. Fink has been appointed as EADS North America’s Vice President of Human Resources and Administrative Services – a newly-created position that oversees the company’s growing U.S. talent management strategy and expanding organizational structure.
“David brings valuable hands-on experience as we further augment our U.S. industrial presence and build up the talent base,” said Ralph D. Crosby, Jr., EADS North America’s Chairman and CEO. “He provides unique business and strategic expertise from his knowledge of diverse industries and multi-cultural environments.”
Prior to joining EADS North America, Fink was the Director of Human Resources at Alcan Cable (Rio Tinto). In this capacity, he supported the company’s North American business operations and its global growth strategy – including the successful development and organization of Alcan’s first wholly-owned green field operation in Tianjin, China. In addition, he served as a member of the Alcan Engineered Products human resources council with his European colleagues, which increased the utilization of human resources practices across business units.
Fink began his career holding various manufacturing, operations and human resources roles within private companies, and assumed increasingly responsible positions with Fortune 500 and multi-national companies, including Olin/Arch Chemicals Inc. and United Technologies’ Pratt & Whitney.
Fink holds a bachelors degree in business management from Buena Vista University and is a certified professional in human resources.
In his new position at EADS North America, he is assigned to the company’s Arlington, Virginia headquarters.
